We want to ensure that you are as comfortable as possible when you come to visit. We’ll look to address as many questions here as we can but of course if there is something that’s been missed please get in touch and we’ll be happy to answer any outstanding queries you might have.
What hours are you open?
We don't currently have standard opening hours. We're a small business that is time savvy and will work around both your needs and ours. If the time is available on the calendar, then you can book us.
What should I wear?
In most instances you'll change out of your clothes into one of our robes. We ask that you wear loose clothing that is easy to change in and out of. If you're not using one of our robes you'll want clothing that we can easily move around.
How much time should I allow?
You should allow 15min either side of your alloted time. This will give you time to change should you need to and ensure that you are able to slowly enter your massage, allowing you to get the most out of your time with us. Coming in rushed may mean that you don't get the full benefit of our massages.
I have a pre-existing condition?
Please ensure that you speak with your health practitioner first to get the all clear. While we will ask about any injuries or ailments, it is up to you to advise us that there is something we need to be aware of.
Is everyone welcome at Calliope Massage?
Everyone over the age 18 is welcome at Calliope Massage. Currently we only have one masseuse, so as long as you are comfortable being massaged by her, then you'll be welcome.
Do you have a male masseuse?
At the moment we only have the one masseuse, Pong is originally from Thailand and has bought her knowledge here to share with you. While she might be small in stature she can still work out even the most stubbon of knots.
Will it hurt?
With most of our services you should not feel pain and you should advise us if you do. However, if you are getting work done on an area of particular sensitivity while we work out knots and loosening muscles, you may have some discomfort. This will be discussed with your prior to our massage starting.
Is there an age limit?
Generally speaking, you should be 18 or above to receive a massage. If you are wanting to get a massage for a minor, please discuss this with our therapist prior to booking.
What are the benefits of massage?
There are so many.
Can I purchase a Gift Voucher?
Yes you can. We can't do this online at the moment, but it's something we are working on. Until then, please feel free to contact us to arrange purchase.
How can gift vouchers be redeemed?
Our gift vouchers are not service specific. Please use your gift voucher to put towards any of the services we provide. Gift vouchers are not refundable and no change will be given. You are welcome to top up your gift voucher to get the most of what we have to offer.
Our Rules
- No pets allowed without prior consent.
- No smoking or drinking of alcohol on the premises.
- We do not currently have standard opening hours and open by appointment only.
